Heads up! Get your thinking caps on! Beginning this fall and up until January, the Bison Alumni Newsletter will be transitioning to a new director. Our present director, Cheri Myers Beckenhauer 64, will be turning over the reins, after 18 years, to a new person who has yet to be found!

  The position is part time, with salary and hours to be discussed.  Office hours are flexible with some months being much busier than others. The goal of the director is to help class representatives produce and distribute the newsletter – by print and eventually transitioning into internet website usage. Other goals are to help classes with reunion needs and develop a cohesive alumni base for MHS. A good communicator, manager, and detail-oriented person will be necessary for this position. Computer skills and familiarity with websites and the ever-changing internet are a must.

  So why are we telling you all of this? Two reasons: You may be able to help us find this person. It could be someone who lives in or near McCook or possibly someone who might consider moving home in the near future. 

  And secondly, there are financial needs that go along with this transition into the future. Those expenses will include the director’s salary of course, and the Bison Alumni Newsletter will ideally need to find office space, use of computer, internet access, phone service, printer, paper, scanner and copy machine (hopefully made available by a local business). For 18 years the office needs and expenses have been covered at no expense to the alumni newsletter by a local business. We would hope to find some same kind of similar situation if possible in the future.
